He was the People's Freak

After the hysteria surrounding the death of the Sloane Royal, I'm very glad that Jackson died in the US, not in the UK.

flick - did johnnyeponymous guess this one too?

I'm waiting for ms_siobhan and her Lovely but Naughty Chums to provide suitable comment, the way they still do with Lady Diane Queen Of All Our Hearts.

Ah well, at least R4 has moved onto Mark Thompson's expenses rather than more guff from Uri Geller and this Margolis chappie who wrote a book about Jacko, which appears to have no corporeal existence outside his hard drive.

Wasn't she (with Mother Theresa) the last time we had two-in-one-day? Or was there another pair between those two and FFM/MJ?

Thank goodness I have friends with sensible opinions.

An amusing point from major_clanger

Most of my flist seem far more interested in the interwebz outage caused by his death than beating their collective breasts over it.

I have been directed here.

For those who don't feel like a little thing like taste should get in the way of humour, b3ta have spawned a mini image compo on the theme. It includes gems such as this.

Michael Jackson's girlfriend is distraught. "First my parents leave me in Portugal and now this!"

Ah, Sickipedia, how I love you...

Hey, I hadn't realised that you were on LJ these days. Are you likely to be down our way at any point?
